DirectorDuane Mathis is the Audit Director in the Firm's audit department. He focuses much of his work in the local government, not-for-profit and employee benefit plan sectors. With more than 12 years of professional experience in auditing, accounting, tax and advisory services, Mr. Mathis provides guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters as well as operational and administrative efficiency matters. Mr. Mathis performs quality control reviews of engagements for governmental entities, governmental pension plans, and not-for-profit organizations. Within the Firm, Mr. Mathis is actively involved in training and compliance initiatives for the governmental, not-for-profit, and ERISA assurance staff. In addition, he conducts in-house continuing professional education seminars regarding governmental and not-for-profit accounting and auditing issues.
